Restoration Work

Major conservation works, including the restoration of St. John’s Church and installation of a new heating system, refurbishment of the adjoining Sexton’s House with the installation of a new kitchen and w.c. facilities, and the restoration of the Edward Stamer O’Grady Mausoleum were completed in 2013 in a restoration programme started in 2007.

These projects were generously grant aided by Ballyhoura Development Corporation, Limerick County Council, The Heritage Council and The Follies Trust. The works have also been supported by private donations and fundraising by the committee.
