Knockainey Historical & Conservation Society (‘KH&CS’) was founded in 2003 and is a voluntary charitable organization dedicated to the preservation of St. John’s church as a community cultural centre. KH&CS  is also responsible for the upkeep of the surrounding graveyard as well as the adjoining Sexton’s House.  A number of concerts and other community events including local history lectures, book launches and theatrical performances take place in the church and Sexton’s House throughout the year and proceeds from these events go towards ongoing maintenance.

MEMBERSHIP. Annual membership (€20) to Knockainey Historical & Conservation Society is open to all. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact any member of the committee or send a cheque made payable to Knockainey Historical & Conservation Society to:
